[ABSTRACT]

The International Cooperation Agreement between the University of Havana and the University of L’Aquila was initially established in 2013 following a meeting between the respective rectors of these two academic institutions. Subsequently, academic exchanges have been consistently undertaken over the years, primarily between the Computer Science Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (MATCOM) at the University of Havana and the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics (DISIM) at the University of L’Aquila (UNIVAQ).

Throughout this period, numerous Master's and Doctorate students, as well as young professors from MATCOM, have engaged in reciprocal academic and research visits. The core area of research underpinning these exchanges encompasses the expansive domains of Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence.

To further enhance and streamline collaboration between the University of L’Aquila and the University of Havana, this seminar serves as an opportunity for Professor Alberto Fernadez Oliva, representing Havana University, to introduce his institution, present its current research findings, and explore potential avenues for future collaborative initiatives.

Alberto Fernandez Oliva. Full professor and chief of the computer science department of the faculty of mathematics and computer science of the University of Havana. Head of data structures and algorithms discipline. Coordinator for the collaboration project between the University of Havana and the University of L'Aquila.
